Vined is located at 5117 Dorchester Road, Unit G, in North Charleston, South Carolina. We got a chance to talk with Vined owner Chef Christian to learn about her eatery and what they have to offer.

Vined is an all-vegan establishment, and people love eating there because of the atmosphere. While the menu brings people in, Chef Christian assures us that you don't have to be vegan to enjoy the food. They even have several people who are carnivores that come to the restaurant daily, just to try different things that are offered.

Healthy Substitutions

Even if a person isn’t vegan, everything on the menu has received positive responses from the average eater. In addition to offering obvious non-meat options, Vined’s dishes include healthy substitutions. For example, a portabello mushroom is cooked as a “steak,” paired with mashed potatoes and asparagus on the side.

Another popular dish is “shrimp” and grits, a true Charleston favorite. The shrimp substitute used is made out of pea protein, which is both healthy and delicious. Many people are surprised at how well it works in the dish. Additionally, you can try Vined’s version of traditional chicken and waffles—made with “vings”, a cauliflower chicken alternative.
