We LOVE This Creamy in North Charleston!

by Shakeima Chatman

Can you taste the difference between processed ice cream and homemade ice cream? In this episode of The North Chuck Hookup, I’m going to introduce you to Park Circle Creamery’s homemade ice cream right here in North Charleston. We’ll discover everything from fresh waffle cones to vegan options to give you an idea of everything this ice cream shop has to offer.

Handmade Scoops And Cones

Here at the Chatman Group, we love to support our local small businesses—and Maurice’s shop is no exception. Our client appreciation events are held here at Park Circle Creamery because we just love their ice cream. If you’re looking for a homemade scoop, this is the place you’ve got to check out.

As owner Maurice tells us, what separates Park Circle Creamery from everyone else’s ice cream is that they make all of their flavors in-house—along with freshly baked waffle cones. They take a lot of pride in their product, and a lot of love goes into every batch. That love includes time, energy, care, and passion to study each ingredient and the impact it will have on each product they make.

Fresh Flavors And Vegan Options

The energy and love given starts at 4:00 in the morning, when batches of ice cream are whipped up to ensure fresh scoops for all the day’s customers. Most ice cream, in general, contains a lot of stabilizers, additives, and ingredients to preserve the ice cream. This, however, can affect the flavor.

Park Circle Creamer strives to use the least amount of ingredients possible that could impact both flavor taste as well as product display. They also offer a few vegan options for those with dairy allergies or who simply want to eat a plant-based diet, including a vegan Oreo Cookie ice cream and their new creation, Vegan Coconut Oreo.

Additional favorites at Park Circle Creamery include Chocolate Velvet and German Chocolate—both of which are absolutely delicious. And because we’re in the South, Charleston’s Best Butter Pecan is a must-try for a downhome treat you won’t forget.
